Starbucks Partnership

Partners in Hope have been working with Starbucks in Moscow to develop a work placement programme

for young people who have grown up in institutional care.  After a trial period it was officially launched in

October 2009 by the Management of Starbucks and with members of the press to coincide with the launch of

Starbucks loyalty card a percentage of the sales of these cards will be donated to the programme.  The unique

approach is to offer a full service of support to the young person entering the Starbucks work force where they

will be trained as a barrister and in the Starbucks Global Training approach but at the same time will be able to

benefit from extra support provided by Partners in Hope in the form of communication tutorials , emotional support

provided by a dedicated psychologist and coach.

Starbucks have committed to taking on 40 young people who are interested in this work placement opportunity

specifically from our partner projects.
